We are on the hunt for a Creative Director of Copy to lead the Copy Team and take responsibility for the quality of our ideas and concepts and deliver on commercial objectives. Proven experience as a senior creative or creative director in both large network agencies and nimble independents. Inspiring leader, with the ability to communicate a vision of excellence and delegate effectively. Strong organisational and strategic skills, with the vision and drive to build a department. Strong portfolio demonstrating high-level conceptual and copywriting work across B2B and brand. Natural leadership style – clear, calm, motivational, and decisive. High quality conceptual ability – leading by example when required to come up with exciting, original, relevant campaign, content or brand ideas Ability to brief and critique creative work, provide clear feedback, and direct creatives towards the best solutions Outstanding communication and presentation skills Deep understanding of B2B marketing and what makes it effective, modern, and compelling. Supportive and flexible working style Sets an example to others in the importance of creativity, curiosity and thinking differently The Role: Lead the copy team with clarity, purpose, and energy. Set a high creative bar across all written output – from brand positioning and content to big campaign ideas. Partner seamlessly with visual creatives, strategists, and client teams to deliver integrated, high-impact work. Balance hands-on writing with strategic leadership – happy to get stuck in when needed. Champion creativity in B2B – making smart, sharp work that cuts through and delivers results. Confidently contribute to the strategy team where needed. Elevate creative standards throughout the team through regular reviews, coaching, and constructive feedback. Lead and inspire the Copy team as a whole – including direction, concepting, content. Taking ultimate responsibility for the quality, efficiency and productivity of the team. Play a pivotal role in winning and retaining key clients through pitch leadership and creative excellence. You will play a lead role on creating campaign and brand ideas. Working closely with the other Creative Directors to ensure consistently high standards and seamless execution of ideas, concepts. Ensure that your team are producing ideas that are consistently creative, distinctive, and effective. Review and critique creative concepts and writing presented by other members of the team Take a strategic view of the department, including recruitment, team structure, resources and processes – ensuring that it continues to grow and develop in line with the Agency needs. Work closely with the Strategy and Planning Team to help define and articulate creative strategy Help identify and unlock new creative opportunities within existing accounts. Having input into discussions about business strategy and performance, taking responsibility for the implementation of agreed plans and initiatives. Ensure the optimum utilisation of the Copy team – reporting on agreed KPIs on a monthly and annual basis. Recommend and implement appropriate processes and investment to ensure maximum efficiency and ease for all involved. Propose and implement strategic changes within the Team to capitalise on opportunities. Monitor team performance and productivity, identifying areas for improvement and development. Act as a bridge between creative ambition and commercial realities – understanding where to push and where to pivot.
