Working in a hybrid style, based at home and 5 City Square, you will work full time, 37 hours per week in the Fostering, Adoption, Permanence and Kinship Team.

Requirements
  • You will have a degree or Post Graduate qualification in Social Work.
Responsibilities
  • Operate statutory panel systems and decision-making meetings for children requiring alternative permanent care and for the foster care service.
  • Maintain oversight of practice in this area and contribute to improving and developing service provision.
The Individual
  • You will have experience of partnership working, a working knowledge of Children’s Services legislation, policies, and guidance, especially related to fostering, kinship, adoption, and permanence work, including fostering and permanence panels.
  • Knowledge of report writing associated with Panel work is also required.
  • You should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and have good organisational and presentation skills.
  • You must be willing to work hours according to the needs of the job.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment by Dundee City Council.
