We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Food Preparation and Nutrition Teacher to join the Design and Technology faculty. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition. You will inspire students to develop their practical cookery skills, nutritional knowledge, and understanding of food science and healthy living. Beginning September 2025.
Food Preparation and Nutrition Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in Food Preparation and Nutrition
- Plan and assess in line with the national curriculum and GCSE specifications
- Maintain a safe and hygienic learning environment, including food safety compliance
- Inspire students to explore cultural, social, and scientific aspects of food
- Contribute to curriculum development and extra-curricular opportunities such as cookery clubs or school events
- Work collaboratively with the Design and Technology team and wider school community
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
