The Role

As a Residential Youth Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in the lives of young people who require social, emotional, and mental health support. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day care and support to young people.
  • Assisting in daily routines to ensure their well-being.
  • Encouraging engagement with educational support and homework.
  • Organising and participating in recreational activities.
  • Creating a safe and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with young people, promoting trust and emotional well-being.
  • Empower and motivate them to achieve their goals and overcome challenges.
  • Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere within the home.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for the young people in your care.

What You'll Bring

  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in young people's lives.
  • A willingness to work towards or current qualification in QCF level 3 in Residential Childcare.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Resilience to be able to deal with challenging situations.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
