The Role: As an Outreach Tutor, you will be the guiding light for students with SEN seeking academic support. You will play a vital part in providing education and mentoring to students who do not attend mainstream education due to reasons such as SEN, SEMH, or risk of permanent exclusion. This role involves one-to-one and group sessions in subjects including basic Maths, English, PSHE, interventions, and mentoring, conducted at pupils' homes, local libraries, and schools.
Your mission includes:
- Providing personalised tutoring sessions to students with a range of SEN, from complex needs to more minor learning difficulties.
- Inspiring and motivating students to overcome obstacles and achieve their academic goals.
- Building strong connections with students and their families through clear communication and genuine care.
- Adapting teaching methods to suit the unique learning styles and needs of each student, ensuring an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

- QTS (QTLS), PGCE, or Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Maths, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
