We have an exciting opportunity for a Flood Risk Officer to join our expanding Flood and Water Management Team. You will support efforts to reduce local flood risk and assist in flood investigations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with agencies, community groups, and stakeholders to reduce flood risk across the county.
- Develop, manage, and monitor Property Flood Resilience schemes.
- Investigate significant flood events and provide recommendations to mitigate future risks.
- Develop Natural Flood Management and drainage schemes.
- Provide technical support and advice on watercourse works.
About You
Candidates should have a good understanding of drainage and flood risk management, experience in project delivery, and skills in stakeholder engagement. A full driving license, willingness to travel, and experience with fieldwork, surveying, and GIS systems are required.
