We are seeking an inspirational and enthusiastic peripatetic Teacher of Saxophone and Clarinet to join our thriving Music Department. This position is suitable for a teacher who can engage and motivate pupils from beginner to diploma level; a teacher who challenges and champions their pupils, fostering individual growth as musicians while ensuring they feel supported and enjoy the learning process. The ability to offer a second instrument is advantageous but not required.
Music plays a significant role in the life of the School, and our Department has an excellent reputation locally. The role involves teaching individual piano lessons to approximately eight students initially, with potential to increase student numbers based on demand.
Sir William Perkins's School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff and contractors are expected to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure.
About us: Sir William Perkins's School is a high-performing, academically selective, independent girls' school for approximately 600 students aged 11–18. The Head is a member of HMC and GSA. The school is located on a 12-acre site on the outskirts of Chertsey, a two-minute walk from the railway station and near the junction of the M3 and M25.
