Alexander Steele is proud to be working with a leading food manufacturing business based in Perth and Kinross, in the search for a Brewer to join their skilled production team. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone passionate about brewing to take a hands-on role that covers the entire brewing process β from raw materials right through to finished product β while also contributing to lab, warehouse, and quality control operations.
You will be joining a collaborative, energetic team in a business known for quality, innovation, and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wort production
- Raw material intake, preparation, and stock control
- Cellaring duties including yeast management, dry hopping, filtration, and clarification
- Transfers and tanker loading/unloading
- Cask and keg cleaning and filling
- Cleaning duties including CIPs and adherence to hygiene protocols
- Laboratory work: beer quality checks and sensory analysis
- Accurate documentation and record-keeping
Additional Duties:
- Forklift operation (FLT)
- Supporting Health & Safety, HACCP, Fire Safety, and COSHH compliance
- Participating in a weekend rota for essential brewery checks
- Warehouse stock counting and FIFO stock control.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- At least 1 yearβs experience in a brewery or distillery setting
- BSc/MSc/Diploma/Certificate in Brewing, Distilling, or Engineering preferred
- Exposure to lab environments advantageous
- Basic knowledge of Health & Safety practices (HACCP, IOSH, COSHH, etc.)
- Maintenance engineering or packaging line experience beneficial
- Competent IT skills β Microsoft Word & Excel
- Full UK driving licence
- Aged 18+ due to alcohol production regulations
