We are working on behalf of a nurturing and inclusive school in York that places early childhood development at the heart of its ethos. The school offers a vibrant and well-resourced nursery setting where children are supported to explore, play, and grow in a caring and structured environment.

We are seeking to appoint a creative, enthusiastic, and dedicated Nursery Teacher to lead a nursery class full-time. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Early Years practitioner who is passionate about delivering high-quality, play-based learning in line with the EYFS curriculum.

The successful applicant will demonstrate strong classroom management, a warm and caring approach, and a deep understanding of early child development. You will play a key role in supporting each child's curiosity and laying the foundation for lifelong learning.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons following the EYFS framework
  • Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitoring and assessing children's progress to inform next steps in learning

This is a full-time role starting in September, supported by an experienced SLT, excellent early years resources, and ongoing CPD tailored to EYFS development. Creativity is highly valued, and your ideas will be welcomed as part of a collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
