My client is looking for a Site Manager to work at a School around the Bushey area. This is a Full-time Permanent Position, and it will be working all year round 52 weeks per year. You will be expected to work the following hours: 8.30am-5pm (Monday-Friday) - but you would need to be flexible on occasions such as events and annual leave/sickness.

Duties & Responsibilities:
The Site Manager will assist the Estates Manager in the Management of the buildings, its grounds and the planned maintenance schedule of the School. The Site Manager along with the Estates Manager, is responsible for ensuring that the premises and grounds of the school are maintained at the highest possible level through regular inspection of buildings and to provide a safe environment for all pupils, staff, contractors, and visitors.
The Site Manager will aid the Estates Manager, in the support and supervision of the Estates Team, ensuring all duties are carried out in a timely manner, to high standards and following sound Health & Safety practices. This role also supports the planned preventative maintenance schedule of the school. The Site Manager will take responsibility for ensuring that all in-house daily, weekly, termly or annual checks are systematically and routinely conducted. Remedial actions should be brought to the attention of the Estates Manager in a timely manner or dealt with as a matter of routine.
The Site Manager will also assist the Estates Manager in liaising with Contractors and other professionals on matters relating to the Estate, which may include the collation of quotations for maintenance, renovation and capex projects. The Site Manager is likely to provide additional support, working alongside the Caretakers, on day-to-day maintenance tasks, where the need arises. Individual skill base will be taken into consideration and may lead to skilled work being completed where appropriate.
The Site Manager may occasionally be required to offer support to the Caretakers during busy periods of the academic year, with room set-ups for important Events or other occasions. Cover duties may be required in the event of sickness absence or holiday entitlement. The Site Manager should be prepared to represent the Estates Manager, in their absence. This may include liaising with Contractors during scheduled works, occasional meetings, replying to correspondence or actioning essential maintenance and facilities matters.
