Steer Automotive Group, a leader in accident repair services, is expanding and looking for an experienced Panel Beater to join our team at our state-of-the-art bodyshop in Maidstone. About the Role:
As a Panel Beater at Steer Automotive Group, you will be responsible for repairing and replacing damaged vehicle panels to restore them to their pre-accident condition. You’ll work with a variety of vehicles, including electric and hybrid models, ensuring that all repairs meet the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform panel repairs such as straightening, filing, sanding, and replacing body components.
- Use specialist tools and equipment to reshape and fit panels accurately.
- Carry out body alignment and welding tasks where required.
- Ensure all repairs comply with BSI PAS 10125 standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Inspect damaged vehicles to plan repair work.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
About You:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Panel Beater who is committed to delivering exceptional results. The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in panel beating and vehicle body repair.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
- Experience with both traditional and modern vehicles, including electric and hybrid models.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- ATA/NVQ qualifications in vehicle body repair (preferred but not essential; training and renewal support available).
- A flexible, proactive approach to work.
