Innotech Partners are seeking a skilled and proactive Catering Engineer to join our Facilities Management (FM) Commercial client. This is a dynamic and varied role focused on delivering both reactive and planned maintenance services to commercial catering and ware-washing equipment within commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to reactive repair requests for commercial catering and ware-washing equipment, minimising downtime and enhancing the user experience.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with structured schedules (e.g., SFG20), improving reliability and extending asset lifespan.
- Undertake the installation and commissioning of commercial kitchen equipment, ensuring full compliance with industry standards.
- Calibrate, test, and tag equipment as needed, keeping thorough records of all activities for compliance and asset tracking.
- Identify inefficient or end-of-life equipment to support long-term asset replacement strategies.
- Participate in the on-call rota to provide out-of-hours maintenance support.
- Conduct risk assessments at point-of-work and uphold strict adherence to health and safety protocols.
- Stay current with trade regulations and industry best practices.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience working in a similar reactive and PPM-focused maintenance role within a service-driven environment.
- Familiar with Safe Systems of Work (SSOWs) and health & safety legislation.
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 or above in an electrical discipline.
- 17th or 18th Edition (BS 7671).
- Valid commercial gas qualifications (COMCAT 1, 3 & 5).
- Full, valid UK driving licence.
- Must be able to gain and maintain DBS and Security Clearance.
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant trade legislation and codes of practice.
