Location: Knowsley

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Salary: 90 - 100 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role:

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Knowsley.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, both in class and through targeted interventions
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering inclusive lessons
  • Monitor and record pupil progress and behaviour
  • Help to create a positive, nurturing learning environment
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals where appropriate
  • Support the development of social skills and emotional regulation

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (in a school or similar setting)
  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
  • Strong communication and team-working skills
  • The ability to build trusting relationships with pupils and staff
  • A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Diploma) is desirable
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
