A public sector organisation has urgent Temporary requirement for an Archivist and a Records Manager, to be based at their offices in either Cardiff or Manchester.
The Archivist and Records Manager will both be involved in a project to appraise a significant number of records of three legacy organisations that are over 20 years old.You would then package and prepare, catalogue and arrange these for transfer to the National Archives.
Potential locations are either Cardiff or Manchester, for both positions.
You must have the right to work full-time in the UK, and be available at short notice to work onsite in Cardiff or Manchester, until the end of March.
This would suit a qualified Archivist with experience of appraisal work. Any exposure to TNA archives requirements and standards would be a real bonus.This is a hands on appraisal,
cataloguing and packaging role.
The RM contract would also suit an experienced Records Manager who has similarly been involved in appraisal work, preferably with experience of retention schedules, and FOI work would also be of interest.
Both the Records Management and Archives temporary contracts are available once clearances are completed, until the end of March 2025.
