Key Responsibilities
- Assist with and gradually take ownership of monthly management accounts, including analysis and commentary.
- Work alongside the Divisional Accountant to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Supervise day-to-day accounting operations including bank reconciliations, ledgers, and cash flow.
- Liaise with a centralised accounts team to ensure efficient processing of purchase and sales ledger activity.
- Provide financial support to the General Manager and departmental leaders.
- Lead and support accounts assistants and sales administration staff as part of your development.
- Identify areas for financial process improvement and support wider business initiatives.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc project work.
Candidate Profile
- Currently working as an Assistant Accountant in a franchised car dealership environment.
- Solid understanding of dealership accounting processes and monthly reporting cycles.
- Experience with Kerridge, Pinnacle, or similar dealership management systems.
- Strong attention to detail, with good organisational and communication skills.
