HARP is Southend-on-Sea's leading homelessness charity, working with around 1,000 local people annually to help them overcome or avoid homelessness. It is an exciting time to join HARP. About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative leader to manage a small team for our new project. The role involves leading a team of 5 to deliver an intensive, high-quality, individualised support service for long-term rough sleepers with complex needs, using a trauma-informed approach to ensure client needs and aspirations are central to support planning within a psychologically informed environment. The project aims to offer various support services and collaborate with local organisations to achieve this.
Main Responsibilities Include:
- Direct team members daily to ensure residents receive a consistent, high-quality, and responsive service.
- Proactively ensure effective operation of the service, adherence to professional conduct codes, and high standards of work practice.
- Ensure project workers deliver trauma-informed approaches reflected in assessments, support, and risk management planning.
- Manage incidents and safeguarding issues appropriately, using reflective practice to review situations.
- Lead and support the team in creating a community of support and empowerment, focusing on building personalised skills and resources for long-term recovery.
- Collaborate with the head of specialist services and the team to promote continuous improvement, providing access to necessary resources for positive outcomes.
- Contribute to service development by reviewing, evaluating, and staying updated on best practices and innovative ideas.
- Develop and deliver tailored, co-produced activities and services using a strengths and recovery framework, ensuring client needs are central and the environment is psychologically informed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on the HARP In-Form database for monitoring, reporting, and data protection compliance.
- Manage participation and outcome data, compile reports demonstrating service effectiveness (KPIs).
