You will prepare draft accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies in readiness to submit to HMRC/Companies House and assist with the preparation of Tax & VAT Returns.
Job role / duties:
- Bank & Cash Control Accounts / Reconciliations
- Analysis of Income & Expenditure into appropriate headings
- Schedules of Debtors and Creditors
- Sales & Purchase Ledger, HP etc
- Calculation of VAT and VAT Control Accounts
- Journals
- Calculation of depreciation
- Process Tax Returns on Personal tax / CCH software
- Process Value Added Tax Returns
- Prepare draft Tax Computations
- Deal with client queries
- Deal with queries from H M Revenue & Customs
- Book In Clients Records and updating clients Job on Booking In list
- Visit Client Premises re Accounts preparation
- General Office duties
To be considered for this role you MUST:
- Have at least 2 years Practice experience
- Be confident dealing with clients
- Be happy to work fully office based
- Have relevant accounting qualifications
- Be looking for a long-term opportunity
