Permanent | Inverness (Hybrid)

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Bonus + Pension + 33 Days Holiday

Morgan Hunt is delighted to be partnering with a rapidly growing organisation in Inverness to recruit an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking company during an exciting period of growth. The role offers hybrid working, with just one day per week required in the Inverness office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a 2nd/3rd line escalation point for the service desk team, resolving complex technical incidents and problems.
  • Design, implement, and support infrastructure solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Take full ownership of tickets, incidents, and maintenance tasks - managing them through to resolution with clear and consistent communication.
  • Ensure systems remain secure, supported, and up to date by maintaining and patching customer estates.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal technical standards, procedures, and documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure, including identity, security, tenant configuration, and ongoing management.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, with a methodical and analytical approach.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
  • Holidays: 33 days (inclusive of public holidays)
  • Pension: 5% employer contribution, 3% employee contribution
  • Client site visits - vehicle provided

  • Annual bonus: Discretionary bonus of up to 8% but this is dependent on personal/business performance and not guaranteed.
