We Build Recruitment are now looking to recruit for a Setting Out Engineer on behalf of our client, an established Civils contractor based in the North West. The Setting Out Engineer will be responsible for interpreting design drawings and plans to accurately mark out reference points and markers on construction sites. This role is crucial for ensuring that all structural elements are positioned correctly according to the project specifications.
- Interpret architectural, structural, and civil engineering drawings and specifications.
- Conduct site surveys and establish control points, reference markers, and benchmarks.
- Accurately mark out positions for foundations, columns, walls, roads, utilities, and other structures.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, surveyors, and site supervisors to ensure setting out accuracy.
- Use surveying equipment to take measurements and layout points.
- Maintain detailed records and logs of measurements, setting out data, and progress.
- Assist with quality control by ensuring all works comply with design tolerances and regulations.
Qualifications:
