We're working with an industry-leading business. The following mission is for an EXTERNAL CONTRACTOR, on a long-term daily rate basis. We are seeking a Network Engineer with experience in Cisco Meraki (Switches & Wi-Fi), Checkpoint, and Fortinet. This position is outside of IR35. Interviews will be conducted next week.

Key Responsibilities:
- Configure Cisco switches to meet Head Office standards.
- Implement new Cisco networks in company offices across the UK and Europe.
- Proactively manage, support, and develop existing networks, including purchasing, configuring, and replacing EOL hardware (firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi).
- Deploy new Checkpoint Firewall hardware in UK and European offices.
- Troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues.
- Assist in implementing MS Teams telephony solutions.
- Deploy Cisco Meraki Wi-Fi networks across UK and EMEA regional offices.
- Ensure a secure and reliable electronic environment following HO guidelines and approvals.
- Review requirements, design, purchase, configure, install, and support network infrastructure in line with HO guidelines.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to define project requirements, deliverables, and timelines aligned with business needs.
- Configure routers and implement route changes as necessary.
- Deploy and support Cisco ISE and RADIUS server authentication in UK and regional offices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve support tickets via the Service-Now portal (3rd line firewall, network, VOIP support).
- Support and mentor other European IT departments on systems and provide assistance when needed.
- Produce comprehensive documentation, including high-level and low-level network designs.
Skills Needed:
- 5+ years of experience in a network engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco networking equipment, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues.
- Experience with deploying and managing Checkpoint Firewalls and Cisco ISE.
- Experience working with Fortinet technologies.
- Proficiency in deploying Cisco Meraki Wi-Fi networks.
- Strong skills in producing high-level and low-level network design documentation.
- Ability to support and mentor IT departments across different regions.
