The Maintenance and Operations Department is seeking (1) Skilled Trades Worker to join the already awesome team taking the Building Maintenance Department to the next level of excellence!

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
The ideal candidate will perform advanced-level duties assisting skilled trades workers in maintenance and renovation tasks, such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and other building trades work. In addition to supporting the department's Skilled Trades Worker will also:
- Perform semi-skilled tasks (in various trades).
- Clean work areas, sweep, collect trash, assist in demolition activities, and move supplies and equipment.
- Perform minor operation, maintenance, installation, and repair of HVAC, heating equipment, and plumbing.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems assigned to HVAC and Heating.
- Transport raw materials and semi-finished products or supplies between departments or buildings.
- Perform minor welding repairs; operate power tools.
- Perform light carpentry work, such as building bookshelves, bookcases, etc.
- Mix and pour concrete for foundations and fixtures.
- Install, repair, and service motors, pumps, and fans.
- Operate heavy machinery, such as forklifts, tractors, etc.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Technical or vocational degree in plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or electrical trade area; or a high school diploma or GED and one year experience in plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or electrical trade area.
- A valid Georgia driver's license is required.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
- Knowledge of tools and equipment used in HVAC and heating.
- Knowledge of basic principles and practices of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or other related trades.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform strenuous manual tasks.
- Ability to operate hand tools and equipment used in HVAC, heating, and plumbing fields, such as jacks, meters, wrenches, etc.
