The Youth Leader is responsible for leading and coaching mainly the 13-18 year old participants through interactive and purposeful activities, fostering team-based relationships and learning. Help students discover their unique gifts, talents, and passions, and guide them on how they can make a difference in the world around them. Invest in middle school and high school students through experiential activities, small groups, and individual coaching.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Support the Young Leader and Leader for Life Director in facilitating daily Bible studies and activities aimed at spiritual formation, leadership development, and character building.
  • Help welcome and orient youth to Wildwood upon their arrival.
  • Assist the Director in executing the schedule and tracking students’ participation in all activities.
  • Assist in the execution of Young Leader weekends.
  • Assist in selecting program graduates and organizing graduation ceremonies and celebrations.
  • Distribute and collect coaching cards from participants.

The Young Leader Director is responsible for leading and coaching Young Leader participants to grow in spiritual formation, leadership development, and character. Create an environment and program that helps students learn about themselves, serve others, and grow in leadership and faith. Disciple and encourage youth development specialists to succeed in leading 13-16 year old students.

  • Confirm registered participants and communicate all necessary registration or check-in logistics to families and participants.
  • Plan and schedule the Young Leader weekends.
  • Assist in creating and distributing the program schedule.
  • Facilitate daily and weekly meetings for participants.
  • Oversee training, Bible studies, and growth opportunities for participants.
  • Plan and implement the Young Leader graduation ceremonies.
  • Collaborate with the Leader for Life Director and the Youth Development Director on graduates and next steps for the program.

The Leader for Life Director is responsible for leading and coaching the Leader for Life participants to grow in spiritual formation, leadership development, and character. Create an environment and program that helps students learn more about themselves, serve those around them, and grow in their leadership and faith.
