Creative Support is a national, fast-growing non-profit organization providing support to individuals with a wide range of care needs. We are currently seeking a part-time cook for our Wilshaw House Day Service in Ashton-under-Lyne.
Cook duties include:
- To prepare and cook meals in line with an agreed menu plan for the day service and a varied menu for up to 28 service users a day.
- You will have responsibility for the kitchen area, including shopping, stock control, and rotation.
- To keep all kitchen and dining areas clean and tidy according to the cleaning schedules.
- To prepare food in a hygienic manner and in keeping with health and safety and food hygiene legislation.
- To be part of a team that provides a reliable service.
Location: Wilshaw House is based in Ashton-under-Lyne, approximately 20 minutes' walk from the town centre, and about 15 minutes by bus.
Qualifications and Training: An understanding and experience of working with older people is desirable, but full support and training will be provided to enhance your skills. Full training is provided, as is the opportunity to work towards a QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.
