Are you experienced in food or retail and thrive in a fast-paced environment? We have an excellent opportunity for a Specification Technologist to join our established food manufacturing client based at their site in North Yorkshire. This is a 12-month FTC position, working as part of the technical team on-site.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, managing, and updating product specifications and packaging controls.
  • Ensuring all packaging and labelling comply with legal and customer standards.
  • Collaborating with the Technical Services Manager to maintain systems related to product specifications.
  • Working closely with customers to meet their specifications.
  • Liaising with customers, governing bodies, and internal teams to ensure compliance with specifications.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in customer specifications, ideally within food or retail sectors.
  • Strong understanding of BRC standards, retailer codes of practice, and legal requirements for food packaging and labelling.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

This role offers an attractive salary of £34,500, working Monday to Friday, starting in November 2024. The position is accessible from Malton, York, Scarborough, Driffield, Thirsk, and surrounding areas.
