We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher to join an innovative and supportive teaching team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical lessons in Design and Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to think critically, solve problems, and develop real-world skills. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Design Technology Teacher:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, hands-on lessons in areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Graphics, or Textiles (depending on specialism).
- Inspire students to develop a passion for design, creativity, and innovation.
- Maintain a safe and well-organised workshop environment in line with health and safety standards.
- Assess student work and provide clear feedback to support progress and attainment.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and the development of resources.
- Support extracurricular and enrichment activities related to design and technology.
Ideal Design Technology Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A relevant degree in Design and Technology or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of the DT curriculum and current educational developments.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills as a Design Technology Teacher.
- A commitment to fostering creativity, independence, and problem-solving in students.
