Robert Half is supporting their client, a Global Consulting Firm within the Energy sector, in their search for an IT Infrastructure Consultant to join as an associate contractor. This role will support a current-state infrastructure review, facilitate client workshops, and help build a business case for transformation.

Contract Assignment Details:

  • Location: UK-Based (Remote/Hybrid – occasional site visits if required)
  • Duration: Initial 4–8 weeks
  • Day Rate: Β£525p/day via Umbrella Company
  • Start: Within 2 weeks c. Mon 30/06

Role Overview:

The IT Infrastructure Consultant will work closely with internal stakeholders and the client’s technology team to run workshops, explore the current infrastructure landscape, and identify uplift opportunities. A key part of the role will be contributing to the business case and supporting reporting outputs from discovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support workshops with business and technical stakeholders
  • Assess current infrastructure (networks, servers, systems) and highlight areas for improvement
  • Contribute to business case development and transformation planning
  • Draft and deliver outputs aligned to discovery findings and recommendations
  • Communicate high-level infrastructure concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on IT Infrastructure experience (networks, servers, systems architecture)
  • Experience working in the energy sector (utilities, renewables, infrastructure, etc.)
  • Proven consulting background – capable of handling discovery work where the tech stack is not fully defined
  • Ability to lead client conversations and shape transformation outcomes
  • Comfortable discussing a range of infrastructure technologies at a high level

Important Note: As part of the onboarding process, associates will undergo comprehensive financial and criminal background checks, which may take up to two weeks to complete.
