Terumo Aortic are looking for a CAD Technician to join their Custom Device Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the design and development of medical devices through creation and administration of CAD drawings, associated documentation and continuous improvement of device drawing processes. They will also maintain awareness of the relevance and importance of activities performed and how they contribute to the achievement of quality objectives.
Key Duties
- Development and implementation of design drawings in keeping with relevant design and change control processes
- Assisting in production and development of relevant documentation associated with manufacturing drawings and designs
- Development of 2D and 3D models
- Production of scale models using 3D printing
- Collaboration with and support of all design functions
- Collaboration with and support of operations function
- Problem solving
- Working to relevant quality standards
- Liaising with other relevant departments
- Participate in team meetings
- Provide CAD support for trainees, graduates and apprentices
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience with 2D and 3D CAD; AutoCAD/ SolidEdge/ Solid Works preferred
- CAD related professional qualification is preferable
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Clear and efficient communication skills
- Proficiency in using office apps
- Planning & organising skills with ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to document work in line with Design Control & Quality Systems
