Job Purpose The Mobile Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining mobile payloads and network systems, with a specific focus on mobile protocols, networking infrastructure, and performance optimization. This role will involve troubleshooting, supporting, and enhancing stratospheric mobile services and the supporting networks, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, security and reliability. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and optimize mobile network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity across multiple platforms (e.g., 4G, 5G, etc.). Configure, monitor, and maintain mobile network components such as base stations, firewalls, routers, and switches. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, developers, and vendors, to enhance mobile network architecture. Design and implement system test plans to verify the functionality and performance of new technologies, services, and features. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain system documentation, including design diagrams, configuration manuals, and troubleshooting guides. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience working with mobile networks, including knowledge of mobile communication protocols (e.g., GSM, UMTS, LTE, 5G, IMS). Strong understanding of mobile network architecture, including RAN (Radio Access Network), EPC (Evolved Packet Core), and other core network components. Familiarity with network simulation and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, NetFlow, etc.). Preferred Qualifications Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent in networking or mobile communications. Familiarity with mobile network optimization tools (e.g., TEMS, NEMO, or other RF planning tools).
