Senior Medical Writer

Location: UK office based/hybrid

About The Role

Job Purpose: Lead the development of high-quality, scientifically accurate, and strategically aligned content and creative deliverables that meet client requirements.

Qualities And Attributes:

• Excellent writing, communication, and listening skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Team player capable of navigating multiple departments
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Dynamics, and PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate scientific concepts effectively in writing and verbally
• Experience interacting with KOLs

Essential Duties:

• Serve as the primary contact for account activities and deliverables
• Lead content development, understanding data and communicating complex projects
• Support communication and content development as needed
• Coordinate with team members to ensure timely project progression
• Engage with client review teams and KOLs for publications and events
• Manage freelancers and ensure quality control
• Participate in client and internal meetings, update project status

Scientific Services Deliverables:

• Develop outlines and produce scientifically accurate materials
• Create creative briefs and evolve content based on feedback
• Ensure timely approval of deliverables in line with client policies

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

• Work closely with the Scientific Services Department and broader agency teams
• Maintain strong relationships with Client Services
• Mentor junior team members

Account Support:

• Stay updated on relevant scientific and medical developments
• Provide updates to internal and external stakeholders
• Communicate professionally with key opinion leaders and physicians

Education and Experience:

• Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, RPh, MS, RN, MD) in a scientific/medical field; biomedical sciences preferred
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in medical education, communications, or related fields
• Willingness to travel domestically/internationally, including weekends
