Drivers Direct Recruitment is seeking a Class 2 Refuse Driver to join our client's team in Leyland. This is a temporary-to-permanent role, with immediate start availability and a 13-week probation period.

Job Role: Commercial & Domestic waste collection.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 06:30 start.

Pay Rate: £16.39 per hour (Weekdays before 8 hours), £24.58 per hour (Overtime over 8 hours), £32.76 per hour (Bank Holidays).

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report as per operational procedures.
  • Ensure all deliveries and collections are performed according to company procedures.
  • Deliver and collect to customers safely and professionally.
  • Complete all work-related paperwork accurately and submit at the end of each shift.

Essential Skills & Requirements:

  • Valid HGV 2 / Cat C licence, held for at least 12 months.
  • No more than 6 minor penalty points.
  • No DR, IN, or DD offence codes.
  • Driver Qualification (CPC) card.
  • Digital tachograph card.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Safe driving record.
