The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.

Job Purpose: Reporting to the Activity Manager, you will be a key member of the programme team ensuring inspiring visits and stays for people of all ages and abilities. As customer facing delivery staff, you will be an example of best practice at all times playing a key role in setting high standards of delivery, training staff and volunteers and helping to develop innovative and relevant programmes and events for our communities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide a high standard of instruction across a range of activities for all ages and abilities.
- Work closely with the Activity Manager to deliver, and play a part in the development of, an excellent residential experience to all groups, including acting as a host/ link person, delivering evening activities, dining hall and tuck shop duties as well as any other role to enhance the experience.
- To provide leadership, training and monitoring of seasonal, weekend and volunteer staff.
- To support the management team in the creation and monitoring of risk assessments, operating procedures and training plans for relevant activities, events, programmes and services.
- Take responsibility for the maintenance, safety and development of given areas, activities and equipment.
- To display positive leadership skills and ensure best practice in delivery of all aspects of your work.
- Contribute and commit to Fairthorne’s drive to deliver excellent customer care whilst encouraging others to do the same.
- Act as a Duty Manager on a rota basis.
Qualifications/Experience:
- At least two of the following NGBs: Climbing Wall Instructor, Archery GB Instructor, ERCA High Ropes Instructor, Paddlesport Leader or Coach Award.
- Experience of working with children and families of all ages and abilities.
- Experience of leading or supervising teams of staff or volunteers in a community, youth, educational or sporting environment.
- Experience of leading or working with groups, in an outdoor, sporting or events environment.
- Ability and the skills to lead a variety of sessions to children and young people.
- Understanding of the requirements of working with schools and groups.
- Experience of writing risk assessments and operating procedures.
- Any of the following NGBs: ERCA Generic Rescuer, Recognised Axe Throwing Certificate, Recognised Bushcraft certificate.
