Your Role
We are looking for natural leaders to join our Activities and Events department in a year-round school for international students. Activity Leaders support the Activities and Events Manager and the Activities Coordinator in organising and delivering a wide range of activities, excursions and events for our student body. This role is on a full time (6 days per week), fixed term basis running throughout July & August 2025. We require a commitment of at least 2-3 weeks during the summer, with the possibility of permanent job opportunities following the season.
Responsibilities
- Leads groups of international students on a variety of activities and day trips
- Creates a lively atmosphere during excursions, delivering excellent customer service
- Takes responsibility for health and safety of all students including completing and adhering to risk assessments and emergency situations in line with EF policy and procedures
- Research excursion destinations, leads a guided tour at the destination and gives interesting information and facts to students
- Liaises with co-leaders and the Activities and Events Manager/Activities Coordinator to discuss how to improve future activities and gives a thorough handover after each activity or event to aid future planning
- Attends and assists the Activities and Events Manager with large events
- Ensures the EF Student Code of Conduct is followed by all students at all times and informs the management immediately if there are any issues or problems
Requirements
- Highly motivated, energetic and positive with a sociable, outgoing personality
- Confident in leading and managing groups of students
- Highly organised and thorough, able to use initiative and work unsupervised
- Ability to handle difficult situations with ease and remain calm under pressure
- Customer service minded and quality oriented
- Confident working with teens and young adults
- Awareness and appreciation of cultural differences
- Excellent communicator both with students, colleagues, and external clients
- A flexible approach to work and hours of work undertaken is essential
- Fluency in English
