Glory Days Grill cooks are responsible for preparing fresh, high quality foods for our guests in an efficient and safe manner.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Food Quality: Follows established recipes, plate presentations, portions, and temperatures (hot food hot & cold food cold) to provide guests with consistently excellent products. Ensures all food served meets the Glory Days Grill standards of quality and freshness. Properly stores and rotates food products.
- Job Knowledge: Job behavior indicates a thorough knowledge of food standards, job procedures and equipment use. Keeps current with procedural changes.
- Teamwork, Attitude & Initiative: Helps other staff members provide guest service. Personally offers to help when time permits.
- Sanitation & Safety: Consistently washes hands and restrains hair. Works in a neat, clean and orderly manner. Practices food safety standards at all times, and works carefully and safely.
- Personal Conduct & Appearance: Comes to work in a proper, clean uniform. Maintains appropriate grooming and hygiene standards. Follows standards of conduct, and all procedures, systems, and rules communicated by management.
Pay: Commensurate with experience and dependent upon location. In Virginia, experienced cooks may start at $14-$17+/hour, in Maryland, they may start at $16-$19+/hour.

Cooks and BOH Employees must be 18 years or older due to the equipment used in the kitchen. Cooks must be able to be βon their feetβ for most of their shift. Must be able to lift, push, pull and move product, equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds. Shifts of 6+ hours at a time are typical. Glory Days Grill restaurants are a busy, fast-paced, and active work environment. In a normal restaurant environment, and in particular Glory Days Grill, there may be physical discomfort due to temperature and noise.
