Are you a passionate and dedicated Maths teacher looking to take the next step in your career? Our vibrant school is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Maths department as a Second in Department. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in inspiring mathematical thinking.
As the Second in Department for Maths, you will work closely with the Head of Department to lead and manage the Maths curriculum. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the planning, delivery, and assessment of Maths lessons.
- Providing guidance and support to colleagues within the Maths department.
- Monitoring student progress and implementing strategies to ensure academic success.
- Contributing to the development of innovative teaching resources and approaches.

What we are looking for:
- Must have QTS.
- An innovative Maths teacher with excellent subject knowledge.
- A strong classroom practitioner who consistently delivers high-quality teaching and inspires students of all abilities.
- A proven track record of securing strong student outcomes at KS3 and KS4.
- Experience or readiness to support the strategic leadership of the department, working closely with the Head of Maths to drive curriculum development, assessment, and teaching & learning initiatives.
- Someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and can support and develop colleagues to ensure consistency and excellence.
