The School of Social Sciences and Humanities is seeking to appoint a Research Associate to contribute to the EyCon (VisualAI and Early Conflict Photography) Project led by Dr Lise Jaillant. EyCon is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) in the UK and LABEX in France.
The post holder will play a key part in the project, which aims to increase the discoverability and usability of overlooked and scattered material on colonial, imperial and international armed conflicts up to 1918. The successful candidate will undertake data collection and curation; contribute to the development of a pipeline to enrich metadata automatically; manage communications with the project's stakeholders; and contribute to the organisation and delivery of project events. They will need substantial knowledge in an area relevant to the project focus.
