Are you a strategic leader with a passion for driving large-scale digital change? This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IS Portfolio Manager to take ownership of a high-impact portfolio of IT and digital change projects.
You’ll play a critical role in shaping, delivering, and governing an ambitious portfolio of product and programme delivery – with the autonomy to shape best practice, implement governance, and ensure real business value is achieved from change initiatives.
Responsibilities- Lead the end-to-end management of a varied IS change portfolio across programmes and products.
- Work alongside senior Digitalisation leaders to build an effective, forward-thinking technology change capability.
- Provide portfolio oversight and assurance to senior stakeholders, including the Executive and Board.
- Own and evolve the portfolio governance framework, from change initiation to delivery tracking and benefits realisation.
- Manage financial planning and resource allocation across the change portfolio.
- Develop repeatable, high-quality processes and policies to support efficient portfolio delivery.
- Lead and grow a collaborative, high-performing team, developing their skills and setting clear performance goals.
- Maintain clear roadmaps across customer journeys, business units, and capabilities.
- Stay ahead of regulatory requirements, ensuring effective tracking and escalation as needed.
- 5+ years' experience managing complex, high-value portfolios, programmes, or products in a tech-led environment.
- Proven ability to operate strategically – balancing big-picture thinking with the ability to dive into detail when needed.
- A strong grasp of agile frameworks and a track record of successfully managing change in dynamic, evolving organisations.
- Confident communicator and influencer – you’re great at navigating politics and aligning diverse stakeholders.
- Comfortable prioritising workloads and adjusting plans in response to changing internal and external demands.
- Demonstrated ability to implement governance, planning tools, and performance metrics that support transparency and delivery.
- Up to £75,000 depending on experience
