The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.
This position prepares outgoing shipments and receives incoming shipments. Ship and receive small packages up to wooden containers or raw material bundles.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive raw materials and inspect for defects
- Pull parts for work orders and deliver to production floor
- Build wooden shipping containers using power tools
- Receive and unload incoming shipments including freight and small parcel deliveries
- Package and prepare outgoing shipments
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to stand, walk (on concrete surfaces), bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and lift
- Must be able to lift/push/pull objects up to 35 pounds, heavier objects require assistance
- Must be able to use carpentry hand tools such as drills and saws
- Must be capable of operating a fork truck, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment
- Ability to adhere to safety policies
- Must have basic computer skills, Excel and Word a plus
- Strong math skills and high accuracy when counting
- Detail Oriented
- Must have working command of the English language and be able to communicate orally and in writing (basic oral instructions, simple written memos and instructions)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Certification from Technical School a plus
- 1-3 years Previous Material Handling or Inventory Experience Preferred
