Maintenance Engineer (Multi-Skilled)

Employment Type Full-timeHours 45 p/wPurpose We are seeking a reliable and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This is a field-based role primarily covering maintenance and repairs across our retail shops in the East Midlands, with occasional support at our Derby Bakery. The position includes on-call duties with additional pay.Responsibilities Perform general maintenance, including PPM and emergency repairs.Maintain and repair in-store equipment (e.g., ovens, fridges, lighting, plumbing).Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.Work closely with store teams and contractors to resolve issues efficiently.Maintain tools, supplies, and accurate service records.Provide excellent internal customer service.Shifts Day Shifts – 5 days a week, Monday to Saturday with a day off in the week. On-Call availability required. Salary £36,000 – £40,000 depending on experience.Experience Hands-on experience in maintenance and repairs.Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.Full UK driving licence.Flexible with working hours and occasional out-of-hours work.Excellent communication and time management skills.Experience with PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), panel wiring, and steam systems.Background in food production environments.Qualifications City & Guilds or MVQ/BTEC in Electrical Maintenance/Installation.18th Edition (BS 7671:2022) certification.Benefits 4 weeks holiday per year, increasing incrementally to 5 weeks holiday (after 5 years continuous service) plus Bank Holidays.
