The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible for performing competent nursing care as demonstrated by the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, care coordination, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation. The RN adheres to standards of practice and professional performance, including ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health. Clinical knowledge and skills must meet the standards required by specific clinical areas. A BSN or MSN is preferred.

  • License and Certification
  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
