We are looking for energetic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support our students in achieving growth academically and emotionally.
Haywards Farm School is a small, outstanding independent school in West Berkshire, catering to 34 students with a range of special educational needs, including learning difficulties, social and emotional challenges, and autistic spectrum disorders. Many students have a history of non-attendance and require support to successfully transition into the school environment.
Candidates for this position MUST have experience with complex young people and will be qualified up to a Level 3.
Main duties of the role:- Support the Teaching Assistants within the school by running a half termly supervision group.
- Demonstrate an informed and efficient approach to teaching and learning by adopting relevant strategies to support the work of the teacher and increase achievement of all pupils including, where appropriate, those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- To cover and lead class teaching, when needed.
- Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school’s policies, practices, and procedures, so as to support the school’s values and vision.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people and follow school policies and the staff code of conduct.
