Our client is a leading light in conservation, nature recovery and wildlife. They are currently recruiting someone to lead and champion the development of all income generations from individuals, creating excellent supporter experiences and journeys! This role will be responsible for meeting the income targets for membership, individual giving and legacies. Membership is one of the key strategic priorities to achieve unrestricted income over the next five years. The Membership & Individual Giving Manager will be overseeing recruitment, retention and managing attrition of members, understanding our members and creating relevant offers and experiences. The role will manage income from individuals through appeals and growing income and support through our nature reserves. The time spent on each area is approximately: membership 60%, individual giving 30% and legacies 10%.
Role responsibilities:
- Deliver on the Fundraising plan with respect to membership, individual giving and legacies, with support from the Head of Fundraising.
- Support the Head of Fundraising on budgeting planning and reporting on Membership and Individual Giving income streams.
- Develop, coach, inspire and motivate direct reports to deliver their objectives and develop their own skills and expertise in their roles.
- Keep up to date with best practice in fundraising and comply with relevant legislation and regulations and to work within the organisation’s policies and procedures, ensuring that good practice is observed.
- Ensure that all data protection obligations are met in all aspects of the role including adherence to GDPR.
- Support the Senior Database and Supporter Services Officer and Senior External Affairs Officer and Membership Content Editor to ensure members and supporters receive engaging communications from the Trust.
- Carry out any other duties as required by the Head of Fundraising, consistent with the job purpose.
