Job Title: Shunter Driver
Reporting to: Transport Manager Compliance and Commercial
Shunting Duties
- Moving of all stock around site
- Loading and unloading of trays, pallets, dolavs and other equipment
- Assisting in loading and unloading of blast freezers
- Checking temperatures and fuel levels of all trailers, re-fuelling when necessary
- Keeping trailers VOR for service or repairs as requested by the Transport Office
- Collecting goods from other parts sites as requested
- Delivering stock to the company shop
- Keeping the yard tidy
- Banksman duties
- Maintaining electrical hook up points and leads, reporting any damage immediately.
- Reporting of any defects on company vehicles
- Refuelling of vehicles
What You Will Need
- Flexible attitude to work
- Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Willing to complete any training provided by the company
- Shunter license would be an advantage, but training can be given to the right applicant – applicants with a full current HGV licence do not need to hold a shunter licence

Job Type: Permanent
Hours per week: 50 Hours per week
Working Times: Monday to Friday – 06:00am – 16:30pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Additional hours may be required if requested, especially during the Christmas campaign period.
Pay Rate: £18.38 per hour.
