Fram are currently working with a Chartered financial planning company based in London. Our client specialises in Ethical investments and are seeking an additional paraplanner to join their experienced team. Along with an administrator, you will support two financial planners in a more traditional paraplanning capacity, work closely with them to analyse a client’s situation and suggest next steps and financial planning opportunities. The role offers hybrid working, two days a week in the office once probation is past.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for writing advice into an easy to understand and compliant suitability letter.
  • Understand and assess a client situation, working with the adviser and colleagues to formulate advice.
  • Researching solutions to meet the client needs.
  • Produce financial planning and investment suitability letters across a range of areas including replacement business (pensions and investments), cashflow forecasting, retirement income planning, inheritance tax planning and alternative investments such as VCTs and EISs.
  • Working with the administration team to ensure the advice is implemented correctly.
  • Occasional attendance at client meetings, assisting the financial planner with cash flow presentations, when required.
  • Help to maintain the client database, ensuring relevant information and research is saved accordingly.
  • Assist and contribute to the development of the financial planning proposition, new processes and systems within the team.
  • Contribute to the team by sharing best practice and suggesting ways to improve how we work.
  • Act as a point of contact to answer technical queries.
  • Attend technical seminars and events in order to maintain knowledge and communicate findings to the rest of the partnership.
  • Demonstrate the right behaviours, aligned with the company’s core values.

An ideal candidate will be an experienced paraplanner, comfortable working with High Net Worth (HNW) clients. Have a broad understanding of financial products across a range of advice areas and awareness of developments and topics in financial services and the wider Paraplanning community. Hold at least a Diploma/Level 4 and be happy to work towards chartered in the future. Be proficient in using a range of software and technology, including but not limited to Xplan, MS Office, Voyant, and FE Analytics.
