Compass Associates are delighted to partner exclusively with a leading independent fostering agency to recruit a role of real note, a People Director, a newly created post which will report directly to the group's CEO. The People Director will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that foster a positive and productive organisational culture, aligning the workforce with the company's mission, vision, and values. This senior leadership position oversees the HR department and collaborates with leadership to create a work environment that attracts, retains, and develops talent while ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations.

Essential Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- 10+ years of HR experience with 3+ years in a senior HR leadership role
- Experience ideally within social care; however, my client is also open to alternate fast-paced or rapidly scaling environments
- Deep knowledge of HR best practices, labour laws, and regulations
- Proven track record in strategic HR leadership, talent management, organisational development, and culture transformation
- Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to drive change and inspire others
- Experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Proficient in HRIS systems and HR analytics tools
Location: The role is hybrid, a combination between home working and an office presence. This role will suit prospective candidates able to travel regularly to Salisbury up to 3 times per week.
Interview Process: This will be a two-stage process consisting of an initial Teams meeting to determine chemistry and initial fit, followed by a face-to-face meeting with the CEO and CFO.
Salary: £90,000 - £120,000 plus additional benefits including private medical insurance and a discretional bonus.
