What You’ll Do

Our HGV drivers are kept busy in this role to get our customers back on the road quickly. You will work within a team of other drivers reporting to your Transport Controller. As a Class C Driver, you will collect and deliver vehicles before and after repair, working to deadlines to meet our customer’s needs.

  • You will have responsibility for collecting and delivering cars within the agreed timescales, ensuring that the customer receives the very best possible service on collection and delivery of their car.
  • Ensure all cash and credit card transactions are accounted for and that all transactions are processed following company procedures.
  • Complete forms to indicate any damage on the car and specify accident related damage and highlight any old damage, take digital photographs, and gain a signature from the customer.
  • Highlight any defects identified during loading/unloading of vehicles or as identified at the handover of the vehicle to the customer and bring to the attention of the Production Manager.
  • Ensure all jobs are referenced and filed on completion of job.

What You’ll Need

This is a permanent role of 40 hours a week. All roles are at the heart of our Auto Services business and you’ll need to be enthusiastic, upbeat and committed to delivering the best repair service.

  • You will have experience driving HGV class 2 vehicles and within recovery.
  • You will be very customer-focused and have great customer handling skills.
  • You will have knowledge of the area local to our repair centre.
  • You will hold a current valid driving license, which meets the fleet insurance criteria and hold a Class ‘C’ LGV Licence.
  • You will require a Driver ‘Certificate of Professional Competence’ (CPC).

Health and Safety and working to industry standards is important to us. We always ensure our teams and customers' safety at each stage of the repair process, ensuring tasks are carried out in compliance with Health and Safety and following Audatex estimates, observing DLGAS ways of working and BS10125 procedures.
