The Midland – a sanctuary from the urban environment, a space to relax, recharge and calm the senses – an oasis in the heart of the city. We have a great opportunity for a Host to join The Midland Hotel - Manchester, working in the new Mount Street Dining Room & Bar – serving food and drink from early morning to late evening, bringing together a bit of Northern hospitality with contemporary design. This will be the place for everyday special occasions.

Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Support the smooth running of the food & beverage department, ensuring all aspects of guest food & beverage service are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Work as part of a team to maximize guest satisfaction and comfort, providing positive and timely responses to guest inquiries.
  • Take responsibility for assigned duties and tasks, ensuring timely and professional completion.
  • Contribute to departmental plans and objectives, achieving hotel initiatives & targets.
  • Collaborate with your supervisor to control costs and inventory, and maintain productivity and performance levels.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships while promoting the company culture and values.
  • Ensure adherence to all legislation, planning, delivering, and documenting due diligence activities for audits, and performing follow-up as needed.

Experience We Expect:

  • Experience in food & beverage service is beneficial but not essential.
  • Hands-on approach with a proactive work style.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service with a passion for hospitality.
  • Ability to find creative solutions and take ownership of duties and tasks.
  • Personal integrity and a commitment to excellence.
  • Experience working with IT systems on various platforms.
