Reporting to a supportive and hands-on Electrical Director you’ll receive as much mentoring, guidance, and support as you need. You’ll receive support to develop the ongoing strategy of the delivery of your projects and meet up every Monday to discuss future workload, resources and the remaining fees on projects. This ensures that every team member is getting enough support for their own projects and no one gets overwhelmed.
Quality over quantity has always been their focus and nothing is ever issued without being checked. So you\’ll never be forced to issue a design, that you are not 100% happy with.

The role
- Design high-quality, low carbon residential, education, leisure, and commercial buildings.
- Inform and educate clients and explain technical terms to a non-technical audience in a simple and straightforward manner.
- Liaise with other disciplines and ensure all services are properly coordinated.
- Ensure that your electrical designs are easy to install, access and inspect in the future.
- Work on complex and challenging projects from feasibility to post occupancy.
- Share what you’ve learnt on each project with the rest of the team, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop your commercial awareness in areas such fee bids, tender reviews, contract management and resource planning.
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role (As an Electrical Design Engineer, within the built environment)
- Good understanding of building services.
- Willing to work from their London office, two to three days a week as required.
