Exciting new opportunity working for a leading pharmaceutical company as a Senior Pricing and Contracting Manager. This is a permanent headcount role.
In this role you will lead the development and implementation of the UK, Ireland and Malta pricing and contracting strategies for allocated products. You will constantly assess changes in the environment that could have an impact on the pricing strategy. You will lead and shape the Company’s cross-functional discussions with teams at the local and corporate level to effectively implement pricing strategies at the country level in order to achieve early access at optimal prices while ensuring the commercial viability of the product.
Key responsibilities:- Play a leading role in the development of the Pricing and Contracting team strategy to clearly define what the team does, how it is measured and how it fits into the organisational matrix structure.
- Utilise a high level of pricing and contracting knowledge to lead on the development, delivery and implementation of pricing strategies including Patient Access Schemes (PAS) when needed.
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of healthcare systems and the key roles that influence the pricing and reimbursement environment in the UK, Ireland and Malta.
- Lead pricing and reimbursement discussions to develop and execute market access and pricing related strategies within integrated customer plans, HTA submissions, brand strategy and loss of exclusivity strategy.
- Identify innovative and customer-focused contracting strategies that will maximize brand NET sales growth.
- Provide leading input to, and adaptation of product specific Corporate pricing guidelines, ensuring they are fit-for-purpose and relevant to the UK/Ireland setting.
- Deliver timely and accurate early price assumptions for the Company’s pipeline as well as for products close to Loss of Exclusivity (LoE).
- Experience as a pricing consultant/manager or similar.
- Pharma and UK pricing experience is essential.
- Experience in devising launch pricing strategy for at least 2 products, one being a pipeline asset.
- LoE experience and tender knowledge.
- Innovative pricing methodology knowledge.
- Clear understanding of the Gross to Net model and its impact on the business.
- Strong strategic thinking ability, with well-developed inter-personal and influencing skills.
- Proven experience in delivery through a collaborative approach to working with customers and colleagues in a matrix organisation.
