Are you a skilled IES Modeller with a passion for sustainable design and a knack for building client relationships? We are working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy in Bristol thatβs looking for a confident, experienced modeller to join their growing sustainability team.
The Role:
As an IES Modeller, you will be a key technical lead in delivering dynamic thermal simulations and building performance assessments across a diverse project portfolio - from commercial developments to low-carbon residential schemes. Your ability to communicate clearly with clients, present findings, and guide them through sustainable design decisions from concept to completion is what really sets this role apart.
Responsibilities Include:
- Producing accurate thermal and energy models using IES VE software
- Advising design teams and clients on Part L compliance, overheating, and net-zero strategies
- Attending client meetings and providing technical guidance in plain English
- Collaborating with internal teams to deliver integrated, high-performance building solutions
What Weβre Looking For:
- Proven experience using IES VE software (ideally 2+ years)
- A good understanding of UK building regulations, especially Part L and TM59
- Strong communication skills β comfortable working directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams
- A degree in environmental design, building services, sustainability, or a related field
- Experience with BREEAM, LEED, or NABERS
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and energy compliance software (e.g., SAP, SBEM)
