An ambitious and creative secondary school is seeking a passionate and skilled Music Teacher to join its thriving Performing Arts department. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the musical journey of students and contribute to a rich programme of curriculum and extracurricular music. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Music Teacher:
- Teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop musical knowledge, appreciation, and performance skills
- Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations (e.g. GCSE Music)
- Encourage and support student creativity in composition, performance, and ensemble work
- Promote a love of music through classroom teaching and extra-curricular opportunities
- Lead or support musical ensembles, choirs, or school productions
- Organise and participate in concerts, performances, and trips where appropriate
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and inspiring classroom environment
- Contribute to curriculum development and resource creation
Ideal Music Teacher:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards it
- Has a degree in Music or a related field
- Demonstrates excellent musicianship and subject knowledge
